OSPF not-so-stubby area
- Stubby but with ASBR in area.
- Redistribution connected or otherwise.
- No external LSA coming in but allow external LSA out.
- Redistributed routes (OSPF external routes or Type 5) are converted to Type 7 at the ASBR.
- No virtual-link is allowed in the stubby or NSSA.
- The ABR converts them back to type 5.
- The ABR will not advertise a default into the stub area.
- area 1 nssa ? must be configured on all routers in the area.
- NEED: AREA 2 COST 10 [or the cost will be 1]
- WARNING: ONLY THE ROUTER WITH HIGHEST ROUTER-ID DOES THE CONVERSION LSA 7 TO 5, so make sure that this router is also the ABR.
- Type 1 & 2 [intra-area]
- Type 3 & 4 [inter-area]
- No Type 5 [externals]
- Type 7 [N1-N2]
- Does NOT creates a default route [will need: area 2 nssa default-information originate].
